The cryptocurrency market staged a dramatic reversal this week, with Bitcoin surging toward the $70,000 mark to reach its highest level since early June. Behind the rally, a massive wave of institutional capital inflows served as the key catalyst, led by BlackRock's (BLK.US) iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT, IBIT.US), which pulled in a cumulative $588.5 million (approximately NT$19 billion) over the three trading sessions from August 17 to 19 — accounting for nearly half of total crypto fund inflows during the period.

Market data shows Bitcoin dominated this rebound, capturing 77% of the $1.3 billion (approximately NT$41 billion) in crypto fund growth, cementing its undisputed leadership position. Average daily assets under management (AUM) for Bitcoin-related ETFs reached $334.7 million (approximately NT$11 billion), roughly 4.1 times the historical daily average of $81 million, underscoring the extraordinary strength of the capital inflows.

BlackRock, Fidelity, and ARK Dominate Fund Flows

This round of Bitcoin inflows was highly concentrated in a handful of leading products. BlackRock's IBIT led by a wide margin with $588.5 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC (FBTC.US) at $198.2 million (approximately NT$6.3 billion), and ARK 21Shares' ARKB (ARKB.US) at $111.6 million (approximately NT$3.6 billion), including a single-day net inflow of $77.7 million (approximately NT$2.5 billion) on August 19 alone.
