Bitcoin reached $70,000 and major virtual asset-related stocks soared in New York as U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized the "親 virtual asset" stance by inviting CEOs of the virtual asset industry to the White House to pass the market structuring bill (Clarity Act).
Coin-related stocks surged by double digits on the New York Stock Exchange on the 19th (local time).
As of the closing of the regular market, Coinbase (COIN) closed at $160.2, up 9.55% from the previous day. Strategy (MSTR), the largest publicly traded company in Bitcoin, jumped 12.68% to $104.25, while stablecoin issuer Circle Internet Group (CRCL) rose 9.56% to $78.59, respectively. Robinhood Markets also rose 4.63% to close at $95.77.
In particular, listed Hyper Liquid Strategies (PURR), which advocates a strategy of holding Hyper Liquid Tokens (HYPE), surged 30.42% to close at $9.39, the steepest increase among coin-related stocks on the day, while Bitcoin mining and holding company BitminEmergence Technologies (BMNR) also rose 10.72% to close at $20.24. These stocks continued to rise further in after-hours trading, and investor sentiment continued until after the regular market closed.
