Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury expanded long-duration bond buybacks, pushing long-end yields lower, easing pressure on risk assets from the dollar and real interest rates. With policy discounts narrowing, liquidity expectations improving, and short covering adding momentum, Bitcoin briefly broke above $75,000.

This rally was initially triggered by policy signals, and then a breakout of key price levels triggered massive short liquidations. Forced short covering further amplified the gains, quickly pulling Bitcoin out of its previous consolidation range. However, buying driven by forced liquidations is temporary in nature.
