The latest gains followed President Donald Trump's call for lawmakers to establish clearer rules for the cryptocurrency industry, adding regulatory momentum to a market already benefiting from Bitcoin's sharp recovery.
By 05:11 ET (09:11 GMT) in US pre-market trading, Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) surged 10.2%, Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) gained 6.8% and Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL) advanced 6.4%.
Elsewhere, MARA Holdings (NASDAQ:MARA) climbed 5.4%, Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ:GLXY) rose 5%, Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) added 4.7%, Riot Platforms (NASDAQ:RIOT) gained 3.7%, while Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) increased 2.4%.
Bitcoin breaks out of 2026 trading range
The rally in crypto-related equities mirrored a sharp move higher in Bitcoin, which jumped 8.9% to $78,135.60 after briefly reaching an intraday high of $79,600.60.
The world's largest cryptocurrency has now broken decisively above the roughly $60,000-to-$70,000 range that contained prices for much of 2026.
That breakout has strengthened sentiment towards companies whose revenues, balance sheets or trading activity are closely connected to digital assets, amplifying gains across the crypto equity sector.
