BitMine Immersion Technologies (NASDAQ: BMNR), a company focused on investing in top cryptocurrencies and related assets, posted a gain of over 26% across a five-day trading stretch ending Friday, August 21.

The sharp move higher came as cryptocurrencies received two significant boosts within a narrow window of time, driving broad enthusiasm across digital asset markets.

On Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the Treasury would at least double the size of its regular repurchases of long-term government bonds, lifting the figure to at least $4 billion.

That decision increased investor appetite for riskier assets, including cryptocurrencies, which responded swiftly to the signal of greater liquidity and policy support.

Also on Wednesday, President Donald Trump met with crypto executives at the White House and urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act, adding a legislative dimension to the day’s market-moving developments.

Broader digital asset markets broke out of a months-long slump following Trump’s push, with Ethereum climbing above $2,200 and XRP jumping 25% on the day.

Bitcoin surged 22% across the week to reach $77,692, recording its best five-day performance since March 2024, while Ethereum was priced at $2,402.78, trading 5.1% higher over the last 24 hours.
