Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) is surging Thursday afternoon as speculative momentum builds across digital asset markets.

Crypto Summit, Social Sentiment Propels DOGE Above 8 Cents

The primary catalyst lifting the sector stems from Wednesday’s high-profile White House crypto summit hosted by President Donald Trump. Trump’s renewed call for federal regulatory reform and support for the CLARITY Act propelled Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) past $72,000, triggering a rally across top altcoins.

Compounding macro tailwinds, Dogecoin experienced a sharp rise in trader positioning early Thursday morning. On-chain derivative data from crypto analytics platform Coinglass shows perpetual futures open interest recently climbing to 17.2 billion DOGE, signaling fresh leveraged capital entering the market.

Capturing the sudden shift in sentiment, Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus took to social media late Wednesday night following the summit to highlight the sharp, across-the-board green recovery after months of subdued crypto price action.
